Meon merino scarf
These scarves are woven using the finest of New Zealand merino available. The naturally coloured merino fleece was grown in Middlemarch, inland from Dunedin, and spun at the Bruce Woollen Mills in Milton, just south of Dunedin, then hand woven by us in Oamaru, just north of Dunedin.
You will not find scarves like these anywhere else in the world. These very limited edition scarves are cut from one 50m warp, woven once, and not to be repeated due to the exclusivity of the yarn.
The closed herringbone, or diamond twill design is one of the oldest known to man. Fabrics woven in this pattern have been found in historic excavations throughout Europe.
Care instructions: As this merino is not chemically shrink resist treated, we recommend hand washing, using an environmentally friendly wool wash product. Dry flat, and steam press.
