The Hayle collection of scarves, throws and little blankets feature a classic, regular herringbone design, accentuated by the contrast of natural white NZ Halfbred warp and the bold, colourful NZ Merino or NZ wool weft yarns.
Woven in 2019 on our Hattersley tappet loom #2, and with the classic design appealing to wool lovers from around New Zealand and across the globe, there are only a few items left for sale and no fabric to buy by the metre. You'll have to get in quick to have your own McLean & Co. Hayle herringbone.
In case you're wondering, the Hayle collection is named after Hayle Street in Oamaru, which was named for the River Hayle, is a small river in West Cornwall in England by J T Thompson who was the surveyor in the Otago area in the 1850-1870s.
As this yarn is not chemically shrink resist treated we recommend washing gently by hand using and eco-friendly wool wash. Dry flat.
DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR TUMBLE DRY.
