Mersey #2 Aqua Throw

Blending heritage with modern elegance and timeless design, and the strength and quality of natural fibres, our Mersey collection tells the story of community. With a warp of NZ Merino and Japanese silk, spun in Wellington, and a South Island grown, dyed and spun Merino weft, it has
taken a community of skilled wool growers and processors to create the yarn for us to weave our Mersey collection, and the skill of a craftsman weaver to weave the fabric on a c1895 loom, using hands and feet, integrity, and love.

Woven by Rod on our c1895 Hattersley Domestic Loom, and stitched by Sue, each throw features a hand stitched centre seam and gently frayed and stitched edges. There is nothing fast fashion or mass produced here.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
To preserve the integrity and beauty of this unique piece, we recommend spot cleaning and airing your throw as needed. Although you can machine wash this throw on a gentle wool wash, we recommend that you wash it by hand. Soak it in cold water with a mild, wool-specific detergent. Rinse and squeeze out any excess water. Do not wring your throw. Lay the throw flat to dry and re-shape accordingly. When dry, press with a cool iron. Do not put any wool products in the dryer, as they will shrink.
